Are you CPA’s?
No. We’re bookkeepers.
What’s the difference?
Bookkeepers handle the day-to-day needs of a business, such as, paying bills, writing checks, reconciling bank statements and credit cards, and posting payroll reports. A bookkeeper’s job is to keep an orderly set of books that can be given to a CPA on a quarterly or annual basis. The CPA then takes the books and makes adjustments to them in order to make them comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and uses them to prepare your tax return.
Do you do taxes?
No. We specialize in bookkeeping services. However, we have worked with various tax practioners over the years and are more than happy to present you with a list of practioners whom we can refer you to.
Do you do payroll?
No. The fees charged by outside payroll processing companies, such as ADP, Paychex, etc., are so inexpensive, that it’s only good business to let them handle it. Also, if any fees and penalties arise from errors in processing, they are entirely responsible for them. The last thing you want to do with your valuable time is to have you and your bookeeper spend it doing payroll.
